GUIDES / VIDEO OVERLAYS
Add a dancing character
to your video.
Open Chibi Motion, pick Luna or Mochi, and select your video. Easy mode fits and loops the character in the lower-right corner. Switch to Custom mode to move, resize, mirror, or retime the dancer.

1. Choose your dancer.
Open the studio and choose Luna, Mochi, Indigo or the flat 2D Indigo Toon. You can try each on the built-in sample before selecting your own clip.
2. Add your video.
Select a video from your device or drag it into the studio. Use a clip up to 60 seconds and 80 MiB. H.264 MP4 is the safest choice for browser preview. Your video stays on your device while you preview it.
3. Preview and adjust.
Easy mode picks the size and corner placement and loops the dance across the clip. For more control, use Custom mode. Move the dancer away from captions and faces, resize it, mirror it, or set the start and end time. Preview the entire clip to check the placement.
Sign in with Google to create a protected MP4 export. Each account has two free tokens; each token returns seven days after use. Previewing does not spend a token.
Does it work with vertical videos?
Yes. The preview keeps the source aspect ratio. Easy mode sizes the dancer for the video shape. For Shorts, Reels, or TikTok footage, use Custom mode to keep the character clear of captions and the platform’s on-screen controls. The studio does not publish directly to those platforms.
Do I need a green screen?
No. The built-in dancers already have transparency. You select one from the catalog; you do not need to key out a background. The studio overlays a curated animation rather than generating a new dance from your footage.
What about audio and dance length?
The preview plays your source audio. Luna’s source loop is 4.5625 seconds and Mochi’s is 5.0625 seconds. Repeating a loop extends the overlay’s duration; it does not create new choreography or synchronize the dance to a beat. Our campaign reels include additional music and editing, credited on the sources page.
Try it on your clip.
